The camping season is finally here and families all over the country have started making their plans for their summer wilderness adventures! Camping is a fun way to get family and friends together and kids, in particular love the idea of getting in the car and driving to their favourite camping spot where they can see old friends they made in summers past, swim in a natural body of water at a beach or lake, frolic through the forest without a care in the world and enjoy time spend away from home and a boring classroom. But camping requires a lot of planning and packing especially where children are involved. Sleeping bags, extra clothing, toiletries, food, emergency equipment and things to keep children entertained on those rainy days are all important items to consider. Chairs are also necessary for eating meals and sitting around the campfire and although you, no doubt considered proper chairs for the adults in your party, did you remember to pack kids camping chairs?
A kids camping chair is a chair that is smaller and made specifically for children because they tend to be swamped in big chairs and this makes for an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous experience because they are too short to reach the ground and adult chairs tend to be heavier and can topple easily when someone smaller sits in one. Kids camp chairs can be purchased in department stores, toy stores, sports stores and travel stores and they are usually fairly cheap, at least cheaper than adult chairs. You can find a kids camp chair in any color they desire and some even have kid friendly designs and logos on them. Because the chairs are smaller and lighter, they are easily portable by you or your child. Most of these chairs are made out of plastic but it is possible to get wooden ones too.
This camping season, don’t forget to pack kid friendly items if little ones will be joining your party. When the kids are happy and comfortable, so are you!
