The first thing that you will want to consider is where you will be using these camping heaters at. Are they going to be used inside a tent or outside of a tent. Is the tent a large tent or a small tent. Some tents are not equipped to handle the heat that will be put out through the heaters and therefore caution should be advised when purchasing the camping heaters as well as when you are going to be using them.

There are a number of camping heaters that can be used in a number of different situations.

You can choose a propane camping heater to use in your tents to keep everyone warm at night or during the day when the circumstance presents itself in the form of keeping someone or a couple of people inside the tent for the day. This could include the case in which a camping trip has been planned and after the arrival of everyone and the tents have been set up the instance comes where it starts to rain and lowers the temperature. In this case you will be glad to have purchased the camping heater. In this case it will be helpful that you purchased a propane heater as the heater will require the propane heaters that are used for portable stoves as well as portable lanterns. You will need to make sure that when ever someone is not present in the tent the heater should be turned off and you will want to make sure that someone has turned it off upon exiting the tent. These can also be used to heat camp showers.

Another form of camping heaters is the electric kind. These heaters will require that a source of electric is present. If you are camping at a tent spot that has electric you will need to run an extension cord to supply the power to the heater source and will want to check the cord every so often to ensure that the cord is not getting to hot and will cause a fire. If the cord begins to get too hot you will want to turn the heater on and off periodically to prevent a fire. The heater should not be left unattended at night and someone should be awake when ever the heater is on to prevent a fire as well.
